At Frank Gironda Salon & Spa, we’re committed to nurturing the next generation of beauty professionals. Our Education Program is designed specifically for newly graduated cosmetology students who want to refine their craft, build confidence, and prepare for a thriving career as a stylist in a high-end salon environment.
This unique, paid training program lasts 20 weeks. During this time, participants are not only learning with hands-on work and mentorship, but also gaining practical experience working as an assistant/receptionist in the salon. This dual role allows students to earn while they learn, build interpersonal skills, and understand the full salon experience.

Our program also includes dedicated social media classes, where our in-house social media manager provides hands-on guidance to help you elevate your online presence, build your brand, and attract new clients through strategic digital marketing.

As a Stylist and Educator
I bring with me not only years of industry experience but also a deep sense of humility, compassion, and a grounded, down-to-earth spirit that has shaped both my personal and professional journey.
Over the years, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to grow as an artist, collaborating with some of the most respected names in the beauty industry. A few highlights of my career include:
- Participating as an artist in the Redken Symposium in 2013, 2015, and 2017.
- Supporting and working alongside iconic artists such as Sam Villa, Chris Baran, Kris Sorbie, Sean Godard, George Garcia, Ruth Roche, and many others whose artistry continues to inspire me.
- Contributing editorial work for Tearsheet, where I showcased creativity and precision behind the scenes.
- Styling hair for the prestigious Celebrity Red Dress Event in New York City, a powerful and inspiring experience tied to a meaningful cause.

Maria – Business & Advanced Styling Educator
With over 23 years of experience, Maria is not only one of our top-performing stylists—she’s a vital part of our New Talent Education Program. Her extensive knowledge, advanced certifications, and fully booked schedule make her an inspiring mentor for the next generation of stylists. Maria is Redken Color & Design Certified through the Redken Exchange in NYC, a Certified Redken Specialist, EasiHair Pro Certified, Global Keratin Certified, and has completed countless advanced Redken Education classes.
In our 5-month education program, Maria leads the Business & Advanced Styling curriculum, covering:
- Client retention & prebooking strategies
- Building a loyal clientele
- Social media & self-marketing
- Professional blowouts & styling
- Keratin treatments & perms
- Extensions (application & consultation)
- Updos & special occasion styling
- All things business behind the chair

Stefan – Cutting Educator
With a remarkable career spanning over five decades, Stefan is a world-renowned hair educator and stylist from London, England. He began his journey in the beauty profession at just 13, apprenticing at Graham Webb Salon, where he immersed himself in every aspect of hairstyling—starting with washing the boss’s cars every Saturday morning and quickly mastering the craft that would shape his extraordinary career.
Stefan has shared his artistry and expertise with the world, teaching for Toni & Guy, Vidal Sassoon, Pureology, Graham Webb, and Frank Gironda, and captivating audiences on stage at major beauty shows both nationally and internationally. In 1977, he was one of only three stylists recruited by Frank Gironda to teach in the United States, launching a decades-long international teaching career that has influenced countless stylists around the globe.
From runway and television shows to collaborating with major record labels, Stefan’s experience spans every corner of the profession. Certified in multiple extension lines, keratin treatments, and countless advanced techniques, he has spent over 30 years inspiring and mentoring stylists through Frank Gironda’s education programs.
Even today, Stefan continues to push the boundaries of hair artistry, staying innovative and ahead of the latest trends. His lifelong love of education, passion for creativity, and dedication to the craft make him not just a stylist, but a true icon in the hair profession.
